This blog came from my experiences in living in a small town and how each person contributes to the community's growth and prosperity.
In March of 2023, Google News highlighted the town of Avalon, NC in Rockingham County. It was the town that started and then ended due to a fire at the local cotton mill. Over time, everyone relocated to Mayodan - buildings and all. This created the idea of what would the town be like today. What had occurred over the years from the people to the different animals, homes, and buildings.
As the town stories develop, my goal is to also share pictures and real stories from small towns in America.
